We are looking for a full-time contractor or employee to join our team as a Senior Legacy Systems Developer.
In this role, you will develop and maintain automated systems as part of the Maintenance and Operations team. You will engage in various projects across all stages of the system development life cycle, including customer support, requirements analysis, coding, testing, and troubleshooting for both internal and external clients. Your responsibilities will involve developing and testing COBOL, Natural, and JCL applications based on design specifications, ensuring they are accessible and user-friendly. Additionally, you will document processes, create specifications, and design test cases for both new and modified programs. You will also design and develop structured systems that meet customer needs and align with agency standards, while contributing to the continuous operation of systems.
Required Skills:
- COBOL
- Natural
- JCL
- SQL & Stored Procedures experience
- Knowledge of scripting and batch processing in legacy and modern technologies
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles, application programming, and software design techniques
- Ability to perform data-driven development and accurately test software applications
- Strong problem-solving skills in scheduling, testing, implementing, and troubleshooting software systems
- Experience with GoAnywhere
Preferred Skills:
- Texas Workforce Commission experience
