We are looking for a full-time contractor or employee to fill the Senior Systems Administrator role.
As part of the Infrastructure Services team, you will perform Network Security Analyst duties while managing multiple projects concurrently. You will ensure the security of information systems and computer networks by protecting against cyber-attacks and hackers. This includes monitoring network traffic and server logs for unusual activity, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending solutions to minimize these risks. Additionally, you will investigate security breaches, develop strategies to address emerging issues, and use tools such as firewalls and antivirus software to maintain system security. Other duties will be assigned as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field and 4 years of experience as a systems administrator, or 8 years of experience as a systems administrator.
- Experience with patching and configuring Windows and Linux operating systems, along with third-party applications.
- Advanced system administration expertise with Linux/UNIX servers.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows server implementation and administration, including Active Directory.
- Knowledge of network firewalls, wireless networks, routing, and switch network design, implementation, and administration.
- Ability to evaluate and interpret NESSUS vulnerability reports.
- Experience with building deployment packages using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, and administering Windows servers and workstations.
- Microsoft Windows certifications, including MCSA for Windows Server.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows exams related to Windows Server, Security, and Networking.
- Experience with Microsoft O365 tenant-level administration and security.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to serve as a technical consultant to peers, clearly document relevant issues, and prepare accurate and concise reports.
- Advanced problem-solving skills, with experience in scheduling, testing, installing, implementing programs, and troubleshooting software systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with the Texas Workforce Commission.
