We are seeking a full-time contractor or employee for the role of Senior Business Systems Analyst.
In this role, you will perform advanced Systems Analyst tasks to support IT projects and provide production maintenance for various TWC business systems. You will conduct software testing across all phases of the software development lifecycle, analyze business requirements, and create detailed software specifications. Additionally, you will develop, review, and evaluate test plans and scenarios to ensure alignment with business and system requirements, oversee system testing activities, and facilitate user acceptance testing. You will collaborate with IT and business project teams to identify, document, and coordinate the resolution of software defects and conduct necessary migration testing.
Required Skills:
- Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements and developing software specifications
- Experience documenting detailed requirements for IT solutions that meet program and user needs
- Familiarity with various documentation techniques such as Requirements Traceability Matrix, Software Design Document, Software Requirements Specification, User Stories, Use Cases, Data Flow Diagrams, and User Interface Designs
- Proven ability to work with stakeholders and development teams, facilitating productive meetings to define business requirements and communicate needs to technical staff
- Experience in creating test plans and complex test scenarios in collaboration with business and technical teams
- Ability to execute test plans, assist team members with test activities, coordinate and monitor testing, and facilitate user acceptance testing
- Experience identifying, analyzing, and documenting software defects, assisting developers in defect resolution
- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries to verify test results
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams, serving as a liaison between the two groups
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working as a Test Lead for an IT implementation project
- Experience with JAVA services and applications
- Familiarity with the State of Texas and related systems or regulations
