We are looking for a full-time contractor or employee to fill the role of Senior Business Analyst.
Required Skills:
- Experience in business analysis for software development projects, including the preparation of project documentation
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, analytical, and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) in English, with a focus on technical writing
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and prototyping/screen mock-up tools such as Visio, SnagIt, Adobe Illustrator, or Axure
- Hands-on experience in requirements elicitation, client management, and technical documentation, including traceability, use cases, prototyping, and data modeling
- Ability to facilitate interactive sessions with business and cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical skills for assessing Production Support issues, determining root causes, and documenting necessary corrections
- Ability to develop and maintain a solid understanding of key business drivers/impacts and assist clients in identifying and solving business challenges
- Facilitate the analysis of business and functional requirements, and the design of technology specifications in collaboration with business/functional teams
- Define functional design and systems specifications, as well as prepare, review, and deliver completed packages
- Guide Business and Functional Units in developing and completing user acceptance testing, training, and implementation activities
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with mainframe environments, SQL, Salesforce environments, Remedyforce, Core Java/J2EE, and relational databases
- Experience with process improvement strategies and methodologies
- Proven ability to lead change and design more efficient processes
- Experience in the Oil and Gas industry, as well as in compliance and enforcement-related projects as a Business Analyst
- Strong ability to work within multifaceted teams, resolve conflicts, and handle challenging situations
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
