We are looking for a full-time contractor or employee for the position of Senior Mainframe IMS Database Administrator.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency with the z/OS Systems platform
- Experience in IMS database administration on the mainframe
- Expertise in DBRC and forward recovery procedures
- Familiarity with basic z/OS utilities, including TSO, SYSVIEW, SDSF, JSF, and IBM utilities like IDCAMS, IEBGENER, and IEFBR14
- Knowledge of Batch and CICS Cobol, IMS programming, and troubleshooting
- Strong experience in developing and resolving complex JCL issues
- Proficient with JCL, CICS, VSAM, and TSO
- Experience in writing, analyzing, and debugging REXX programs within a z/OS environment
- Expertise in IMS HAL databases and IMS Catalog management
Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of Top Secret setup, administration, and reporting
- Experience managing mainframe printer assignments, including familiarity with IPPrintway
- Experience with ISPF panels, skeletons, and REXX code
- Familiarity with ISMF storage functions
- Experience with batch SFTP and FTPS processing
- Knowledge of Informatica Power Exchange software, using mainframe datasets (IMS and VSAM) for change data capture as either a source or target
- Experience with logically related application IMS databases
