We are looking for a full-time contractor or employee to fill the role of a Senior Business Analyst.

This position requires advanced business analysis skills and active involvement in the planning and execution of data governance tools for the DSHS agency. The selected contractor will support data collection efforts, identify data assets from various sources, complete setup templates, and contribute to the overall implementation of metadata management and data governance processes. Additionally, the contractor will analyze business systems and processes to develop an effective operational metadata management framework.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrated experience as a Senior Business Analyst (Technical).
Strong expertise in enterprise data analytics, integration, and management, including experience with data warehouses and data governance technologies.
Familiarity with Informatica Data Governance tools is preferred, including:
- Axon Data Governance
- Enterprise Data Catalog
- Data Quality
Experience using Jira for project and task management.
Proficiency with Business Intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Advanced skills in analyzing raw data using Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and similar tools.
Knowledge of the Texas Data Management Framework.
Ability to work independently and collaborate within cross-functional teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to a wide range of audiences.
Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
Flexibility in responding to changing priorities and evolving project needs.
Strong analytical skills to interpret technical information, regulations, and policies.
Proficient in creating process flows and data flow diagrams.
Act as a liaison between project stakeholders, IT teams, and program stakeholders.
Summarize information for leadership and prepare stakeholder reports.
Lead design meetings, facilitate metadata modeling discussions, and prepare presentations for project reviews and updates.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
Design and implement data acquisition strategies as necessary.
Display initiative and independent judgment, with minimal supervision.
Demonstrate creativity and adaptability in meeting project objectives.
Ability to work with limited supervision and make independent decisions.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage diverse project requirements.

Required Skills:

Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst (Technical).
Expertise in enterprise data analytics, integration, and management, particularly with data warehouses and data governance technologies.

Preferred Skills:

Experience as a Business Analyst analyzing raw data using Excel or Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Ability to design and implement data acquisition strategies and solutions as needed.
