We are seeking a full-time contractor or employee for the role of Senior Business Analyst Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business analysts and developers to identify effective strategies for integrating user stories into the existing system.
- Leverage expertise in process gaps between legacy and new systems to assist in gathering detailed requirements for system modifications.
- Serve as a liaison between systems teams, program teams, business analysts, and developers to ensure alignment of enhancement requirements.
- Accelerate the resolution of identified gaps to prevent delays in development.
- Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs to ensure optimal solutions.
- Identify potential project risks and challenges, providing recommendations for mitigation.
- Advise on projects, offering solution-design support and sharing best practices.
- Keep stakeholders informed by distributing project information and status updates.
- Monitor and manage project quality, ensuring deliverables meet agency expectations.
- Work independently and collaboratively with TDA staff to perform complex tasks, exercising creativity and flexibility in approach.
Required Skills:
- Experience in serving as a liaison between business analysts and IT.
- Experience in working with the USDA’s National School Lunch Program administration.
- Experience with OSSE Orchard system requirements gathering and processes.
- Experience and knowledge of best practices in system transitions.
Preferred Skills:
- Project management experience.
- Experience with TDA’s TX-UNPS system.
- Experience in managing or providing direction to system developers and business analysts.
