We are seeking a full-time contractor or employee for the position of Business Analyst.
This role involves performing advanced, senior-level business analysis tasks. The Business Analyst may support multiple projects or be assigned to special projects as needed. Acting as the primary liaison between the program/customer community and the software development team, the business analyst ensures that requirements are effectively communicated and understood. This position will be involved throughout the entire software development life cycle. Once the requirements baseline is established, the focus shifts to managing and verifying the fulfillment of all requirements, including those for post-implementation enhancements.
Required Skills:
- Eliciting requirements through customer interviews and producing well-written system requirements documents.
- Proficiency in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with business process re-engineering and software process flow improvements.
- Development of user stories and use cases that adhere to business analysis best practices.
- Ability to design mockups and/or wireframes following UX best practices.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Exceptional writing and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with requirements management software, particularly "Modern Requirements."
- Familiarity with issue tracking software, specifically "Atlassian Jira."
- Experience working with or alongside TEA or another state or local education agency.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following TEA applications: FSP, TSDS, TEA Help Desk.
