We are seeking a full-time contractor or employee for a Business Analyst role.
This position provides technical support for Data Governance projects by documenting and mapping current and future business processes impacted by large-scale system replacements. Responsibilities include identifying necessary business process changes, collaborating with users to develop solution options, assessing risks, and conducting required analyses.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed business process descriptions, including steps for process development or modification.
- Plan and facilitate meetings, track action items, and maintain business process documentation.
- Provide comprehensive updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Create test plans, execute tests, and communicate test results.
- Perform related work as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in planning, leading, gathering, and analyzing business and functional requirements in collaboration with business and technical teams.
- Strong expertise in developing business process maps and conducting fit-gap analyses.
- Ability to troubleshoot software systems and solve complex technical and business problems.
- Experience in simultaneously collecting and managing requirements across multiple program areas with diverse business needs.
- Skilled in gathering, documenting, and capturing design requirements.
- Proficiency in facilitating workshops, meetings, and collaborative work sessions with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
- Experience in preparing and executing test plans, guiding team members through test activities, and effectively documenting and communicating test results.
- Hands-on experience in implementing and testing interfaces that exchange data with large, complex legacy systems.
- Ability to assist in developing plans and work artifacts in support of the project management life cycle.
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) management tools such as HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) or Atlassian products.
Preferred Skills:
- Texas Workforce Commission experience
