We are looking for a full-time contractor or employee to fill the role of Senior Business Analyst.
You will be responsible for managing multiple projects, coordinating meetings, documenting business requirements, and ensuring the delivery of effective solutions. You will develop and map business processes, define technical requirements, and create comprehensive documentation to support software development. Serving as a liaison between IT and stakeholders, you will align technology solutions with business strategies. Additionally, you will conduct system analysis, design test cases, and facilitate user acceptance testing to ensure quality results. You will also support defect management, collaborate with project teams, and independently meet deadlines.
Required Skills:
- Experience in planning, leading, and gathering business and functional requirements in collaboration with both business and technical teams.
- Expertise in developing business process maps and conducting fit-gap analyses.
- Ability to troubleshoot software systems and solve complex problems.
- Proven ability to collect requirements across multiple program areas with varying business needs.
- Experience in gathering, documenting, and capturing design requirements.
- Skilled in facilitating workshops, meetings, and collaborative work sessions with cross-functional teams, especially in remote environments.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to develop rapport with customers.
- Excellent listening skills to uncover information that may not be explicitly stated.
- Clear and concise communication abilities, both verbal and written, to explain technical concepts to non-technical users in an easily understandable manner.
- Experience in preparing and executing test plans, leading test activities, and documenting and communicating test results.
- Experience in implementing and testing interfaces for data exchange with large, complex legacy systems.
- Familiarity with project management life cycle artifacts and planning.
- Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) management tools, such as HP ALM or Atlassian.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Background in reverse-engineering legacy applications to accelerate system redesign and modernization.
- Experience working with state government organizations.
- Familiarity with Texas Workforce Commission processes.
