We are currently seeking a full-time IT Project Manager to support the Maintenance and Operations (M&O) division. This position can be filled as either a contractor or an employee.
Role Overview:
The IT Project Manager will lead and manage multiple projects through all phases of the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The role involves planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects while ensuring alignment with organizational standards, timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing project deliverables, scope, schedules, and budgets
- Coordinating cross-functional teams and engaging with stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with IT governance, standards, and quality assurance processes
- Evaluating vendor performance and documenting system requirements
- Monitoring project risks, issues, and dependencies, and applying mitigation strategies
- Ensuring that all outputs meet functional, technical, and contractual requirements
- Working independently and effectively under tight deadlines
- Performing other duties as required to support operational goals
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in IT project management, business analysis, or project administration
- Track record of managing complex, full life cycle projects across all development phases
- Strong knowledge of structured design and development methodologies, scope control, estimation, and risk management
- Ability to manage project tasks and teams, define goals, make critical decisions, and analyze complex issues
- Skilled in stakeholder communication, facilitation, negotiation, and reporting
- Proficient in evaluating business systems and gathering detailed user requirements
- Experience with business process mapping, reengineering, and identifying innovative tech solutions
- Demonstrated ability to collect requirements across multiple programs and locations with diverse business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- Experience presenting to senior leadership, sponsors, and IT management
- Familiarity with the Texas Workforce Commission
- Experience with corrective/preventive action planning for project deviations
