We are looking for a Project Manager with 7+ years of experience to join our Information Technology (IT) Project Management Office. This role involves coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful project execution from initiation to closure. The ideal candidate will work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to plan, monitor, and implement moderate to complex business solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers in documenting project plans, schedules, status reports, meetings, and change requests.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to drive project objectives and ensure timely completion.
- Provide regular status updates on assigned tasks.
- Analyze and manage project-related data for effective decision-making.
- Support task coordination across all project phases.
- Assist in test coordination, including System Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Contribute to the planning, development, and execution of project communications.
- Organize and facilitate training activities.
- Schedule and manage meetings, including documentation of discussions, action items, and key decisions.
- Perform additional duties as required to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in project management, research, and/or planning.
- Ability to provide technical support to Project Managers.
- Strong organizational skills to monitor daily project progress and maintain efficiency.
- Experience in planning and organizing meetings, project logistics, and stakeholder communications.
- Ability to generate and present detailed reports providing actionable project insights.
- Familiarity with training and communication strategies within project environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
- Strong collaboration skills and a detail-oriented mindset to ensure project success.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience working with the State of Texas.
