We are looking for a QA Business Analyst to join our team, either as a full-time contractor or employee. This role involves performing highly complex Systems Analyst work to support IT projects and provide production maintenance for various TWC business systems.

- Conduct software testing across all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Analyze business requirements and develop software specifications.
- Develop, review, and execute test plans, test scenarios, and test cases to ensure system functionality aligns with business requirements.
- Monitor and perform system testing, ensuring full traceability between business and system requirements.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) by coordinating with IT and business project teams.
- Identify, document, and analyze software defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Collaborate in a highly interactive team environment to ensure seamless project execution.
- Perform additional duties as needed to maintain business operations.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements and developing software specifications.
- Experience documenting detailed IT solution requirements to meet business and user needs.
- Proficiency in various documentation techniques, including User Stories and Use Cases.
- Hands-on experience creating test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and documenting Requirements Traceability Matrix.
- Experience in testing mainframe and web-based applications.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and development teams, facilitating productive meetings to gather business requirements and communicate stakeholder needs to technical teams.
- Expertise in executing test plans, assisting team members with testing, coordinating and monitoring testing activities, and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Strong experience in identifying, analyzing, and documenting software defects, along with assisting developers in defect resolution.
- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries to verify test results.
- In-depth knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience working as a Test Lead on IT implementation projects.
- Experience presenting to program and IT management, project sponsors, and executive leadership.
- Unemployment Insurance (UI) Tax and Tax Rates experience.
- Familiarity with Unemployment Insurance (UI) Tax System (EBS or UTS) in the State of Texas.
- Experience working with the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
