We are seeking a full-time contractor or employee for a Cybersecurity Specialist role to protect organizational systems, networks, and data from cyber threats and security risks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents and threats
- Implement and manage security controls, policies, and procedures
- Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis
- Monitor SIEM tools and investigate security alerts
- Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to strengthen security posture
- Support incident response, forensics, and remediation activities
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in cybersecurity operations and incident response
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, etc.)
- Knowledge of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS)
- Experience with vulnerability management and threat intelligence
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
Preferred Skills:
- Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, GCIH)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
- Experience in public sector or regulated environments
