We are seeking a full-time contractor or employee for a Cloud Security Engineer role to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure and protect enterprise systems from security threats.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud security architectures and controls
- Ensure security best practices across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities
- Implement identity and access management (IAM) policies and controls
- Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and compliance checks
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines
- Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures
- Support incident response, threat modeling, and remediation efforts
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Hands-on experience with IAM, network security, encryption, and key management
- Experience with SIEM, SOC tools, and security monitoring
- Knowledge of cloud security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001)
- Experience with security automation and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
Preferred Skills:
- Cloud security certifications (AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, CCSP)
- Experience with DevSecOps practices
- Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in public sector or regulated environments
