We are currently looking for an experienced Java Full-Stack Developer to join our team on a full-time basis, either as a contractor or an employee.
Required Skills:
Java & Spring Framework
- Strong proficiency in Java SE, including OOP principles, data structures, collections, and exception handling
- Experience with Java 8+ features (e.g., Lambdas, Streams) and JVM fundamentals
- In-depth knowledge of the Spring ecosystem:
- Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Boot
- Spring Data JPA, JPA (Java Persistence API)
- Spring Security, Spring AOP, Spring Cloud, Spring Integration
- Proficient in RESTful API design and development
- Familiarity with build tools: Maven, Gradle
Web & Application Servers
- Experience with JBoss EAP including architecture, configuration, deployment, resource management, and clustering
- Proficient in HTML5 with strong understanding of semantic elements, form enhancements, and multimedia integration
Web Services
- Expertise in REST and SOAP web services, including protocols, message formats, and security
- Understanding of WSDL, XML Schema, and JSON/XML payload structures
Build & DevOps Tools
- Skilled in Ant, Maven, and Gradle for build automation and dependency management
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
Security & Identity Management
- Experience with Okta for identity and access management (IAM), including SSO, MFA, and security policy configuration
- Knowledge of Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise for bot detection and web security
Fraud Detection & Risk Assessment
- Familiarity with LexisNexis ThreatMetrix for fraud detection, risk scoring, and digital identity verification
Database Systems
- Strong skills in MS SQL Server: database design, T-SQL, performance tuning, backups, and security
- Experience with JPA and ORM tools
Testing
- Proficiency in unit testing frameworks and tools (e.g., JUnit, Selenium)
Preferred Skills:
- DB2: Experience with database design and SQL querying
- Thymeleaf: Building dynamic HTML templates integrated with Spring
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git and CVS
- Domain Knowledge: Experience working with the Texas Workforce Commission
