We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented QA Engineer to support testing efforts for our Electronic Health Records (EHR) applications. This role requires a strong background in both manual and automated testing, with a deep understanding of healthcare workflows, data integrity, and software usability within SAAS environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data for both manual and automated testing.
- Perform detailed testing of EHR applications, including practice management, clinical workflows, interfaces, and billing modules.
- Lead and manage the full QA process, including test strategy, planning, execution, and database validation using complex SQL queries.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts using tools like UFT, Selenium, and Katalon.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including stakeholders, IT professionals, project managers, and clinicians to ensure thorough validation and implementation of EHR solutions.
- Utilize tools like ALM and JIRA for defect tracking, test management, and reporting.
- Conduct a variety of testing types: unit, integration, regression, system, user acceptance, smoke, stress, and performance testing.
- Mentor and train QA team members on EHR testing methodologies, workflow validation, and data migration best practices.
- Create and track quality metrics to monitor application performance and test effectiveness.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in writing and executing test cases, test plans, and test data for both manual and automated testing.
- Deep knowledge of SAAS product testing, software usability, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proven expertise in developing test scripts for EHR systems, covering practice management, clinical documentation, and billing workflows.
- Advanced QA automation experience using UFT (Unified Functional Testing), Selenium, and similar tools.
- Proficiency in complex SQL query writing for database validation.
- Familiarity with tools like ALM, JIRA, Katalon, etc.
- Experience in testing APIs and conducting automation testing.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and managing test cases across multiple user roles within an EHR system.
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Experience in collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of EHR systems.
- Experience in mentoring QA teams, particularly in data migration and workflow testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with HL7 FHIR standards.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
- Proficiency in load and performance testing methodologies.
- Previous experience working within a state agency or public health environment.
