We are seeking a full-time contractor or employee for the role of Senior Healthcare Data Migration Architect.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding business objectives, identifying alternative solutions, conducting studies, and performing cost/benefit analysis of various options. You will analyze user requirements, procedures, and issues to automate processes or improve existing computer systems. This involves collaborating with organizational units to understand current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input/output requirements, such as data input forms, data summarization methods, and report formats. You will also be responsible for documenting user needs, program functions, and the steps needed to develop or modify computer programs. Additionally, you will assess the system's capabilities and limitations to determine whether requested program changes are feasible within the current infrastructure.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in database management systems, workflows, and data migration, particularly in healthcare EHR systems, including scripting, extracting data in HL7 format, and mapping it to target systems.
- Experience with Oracle Cerner Millennium database and Cerner Command Language (CCL) data extraction scripting, crucial for efficient data migration to new SaaS platforms.
- Strong business analysis skills, including reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements, operational procedures, and identifying solutions to automate processes or enhance system functionality.
- Experience in the EHR application domain, including understanding current systems, creating workflow analyses, developing workflows, designing, programming, and supporting software engineering practices.
- Proficiency in documenting process flows, standardizing current and future processes, and improving workflows through data collection and meetings with subject matter experts.
- Expertise in preparing specifications for data input/output processes and resolving complex data-related issues through robust analytical skills and logical problem-solving approaches.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills for clear project documentation and effective engagement with stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of current IT industry trends, with the ability to apply market insights strategically within the organization.
- Familiarity with architectural concepts, principles, and tools related to infrastructure, information systems, applications, and organizational structures.
- Strong analytical skills to resolve complex data-related issues and improve overall system efficiency.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams, inspire high productivity, and foster collaboration among team members.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with the Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates.
- Familiarity with the company's information architecture and information management methodologies.
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology.
- Prior experience with SaaS-based EHR systems and cloud data migrations.
- Understanding of software technology, including global, regional, and local software architecture and infrastructure components.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and data security in healthcare data management.
- Familiarity with the company's information architecture and methodologies for managing information systems.
