We are looking for a full-time contractor or employee for the role of Senior Project Manager.
The Senior Project Manager will lead the EHR project, with responsibilities including the creation of essential project documentation such as business case workbooks, project charters, schedules, biennial operating plans, and amendments. Additional duties will involve requirements gathering, coordination, reporting, planning, researching, and evaluating project management strategies. The PM will also oversee data conversion and migration plans, as well as implementation strategies. The role will involve collaborating with business owners and IT teams to manage the solution vendor, ensuring the use of best practices and standards, and assisting in optimizing HHSC operations and program functions. The Project Manager will act as a liaison between business users and vendors to facilitate communication and provide necessary information. This role requires working with limited direction, offering a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
Required Skills:
- Experience in managing multiple projects.
- Proven experience implementing EHR or similar large-scale applications across large organizations, including project planning, risk management, issue tracking, and contingency planning.
- Proficient with databases like InterSystems Caché, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Skilled in MS Project, Excel, Word, Visio, Jira, and other project management tools.
- Strong research, analysis, and problem-solving abilities; able to compile data, identify solutions, and create concise reports.
- Ability to develop migration and implementation strategies.
- Experience overseeing vendor management for data and application migration.
- Knowledge in EHR application domain, migration, workflow analysis, SDLC artifact development, and software engineering practices.
- Experience managing staff to support data migration activities and application implementation.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting project status to stakeholders, leadership, and vendors, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills for leading diverse teams and fostering collaboration.
- Familiarity with resolving issues and escalating concerns as necessary.
- Ability to document and analyze business workflows in collaboration with business subject matter experts and system analysts.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SaaS-based EHR systems and cloud data migrations.
- Familiarity with HHSC Federal State processes, documentation, and project documentation such as business case workbooks and project charters.
- PMP Certification.
- Understanding of software technology infrastructure and global, regional, and local software architecture.
