We are looking for a full-time contractor or employee for a Senior Java Developer.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated systems for Application Solutions, handling tasks throughout the entire system development life cycle. You will design, develop, and test Java applications that meet accessibility and usability standards. Additionally, you'll diagnose and resolve software, data, and hardware issues for both internal and external clients. You'll also document processes, review specification changes, and create test cases for new or modified policies. Adherence to documentation standards and providing ongoing operational support will also be part of the role.

- SQL, DDL, DML, Stored Procedures
- Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Batch
- Web API Development (SOAP, REST, XML, JSON; REST preferred)
- Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) knowledge
- MS Azure Cloud technologies (Java on Azure, Azure SQL Server, JBOSS EAP on Azure)
- Scripting and batch processing knowledge across both legacy and current technologies
- Experience building WCAG-compliant web applications
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles, practices, and techniques
- Strong testing skills, using a data-driven development approach
- Problem-solving abilities in scheduling, testing, installation, implementation, and troubleshooting software systems
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with GitHub in a DevOps Cloud Environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and report preparation
- Proficiency with SDLC tools such as Visio, Miro, ERWIN, Jira, Confluence, and ALM Octane
- Knowledge of additional programming languages like .Net, C#
- Experience integrating web services across cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, PaaS environments)
- Experience with automating identity management services (authentication and authorization) using Azure, Okta, LDAP, or Entra
- Experience working with the Texas Workforce Commission
