We are seeking a lead Business Analyst with 4-7 years of experience in business analysis and at least 2 years in data analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field, coupled with the ability to apply creativity and independent judgment to achieve project goals. This role requires someone who can work with limited supervision while providing technical input and mentoring to other staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex business analysis, including gathering, developing, and documenting business requirements.
- Analyze and manage requirements using established methodologies, and identify project issues and risks.
- Develop and execute test cases, provide training on business processes, and contribute technical insights to project documentation.
- Communicate business processes and create workflow diagrams to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions.
- Engage in business process reengineering, identifying new technology applications to enhance business efficiency.
- Prepare solution options, perform risk assessments, and conduct financial analyses such as cost/benefit and ROI evaluations.
- Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required for system modifications.
- Mentor and provide guidance to Social Services Applications (SSA) staff.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate user/business needs into technical requirements and designs.
- Detect, diagnose, and resolve application issues, and prepare technical specifications and related documentation.
Required Skills:
- Ability to mentor and provide consultation to SSA staff.
- Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting technical information, including regulations, policies, and system documentation.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical documentation and instructions.
- Ability to plan and coordinate work activities for individuals and groups.
- Expertise in identifying and diagnosing application problems and creating technical solutions.
- Ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Experience in preparing concise business requirements, technical specifications, and related documentation.
