We are looking for a Full-time contractor or employee for a PeopleSoft Cloud Migration Specialist role.

Job Overview: We are looking for a seasoned Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) PeopleSoft Migration Lead to oversee the migration of our PeopleSoft ERP systems to the cloud. This role will be responsible for planning, deploying, and managing all aspects of the migration, ensuring security, compliance, and optimization of the OCI environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with PeopleSoft ERP migrations, cloud architecture, and post-migration support, along with the ability to mentor internal IT staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment and Planning:
- Conduct a thorough analysis of existing on-premise infrastructure.
- Develop a detailed "lift-and-shift" strategy for moving PeopleSoft ERP systems to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Design cloud architecture and deployment plans with cost estimates and budgeting for implementation.
OCI Deployment:
- Lead the setup and configuration of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, ensuring all services align with the project requirements.
- Integrate the OCI environment with existing on-prem systems.
- Oversee the migration of data, applications, and other services with internal MNIT teams.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement cloud security protocols to safeguard data and applications in the OCI environment.
- Ensure compliance with Minnesota’s state-specific security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Establish access controls and continuous monitoring systems for security management.
Backup Strategy Implementation:
- Design and implement a robust backup plan for PeopleSoft applications and databases using the state’s preferred technologies, such as Commvault or OCI backup tools.
- Automate backup reports and monitoring processes.
Performance Optimization and Cloud Management:
- Continuously monitor cloud performance and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Optimize resource usage and manage cloud services for maximum efficiency.
Support and Troubleshooting:
- Serve as the primary technical lead for troubleshooting and resolving cloud-related issues.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to address any technical challenges during the migration process.
Documentation and Training:
- Maintain accurate documentation of cloud architecture, migration processes, and configurations.
- Train MNIT staff on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and cloud best practices.
- Provide mentorship to state IT staff, helping them grow their expertise in OCI.
Continuous Improvement and Research:
- Stay informed on the latest developments in cloud technologies and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Implement continuous improvements for OCI processes and systems.
Technical Expertise and Consulting:
- Provide expert technical guidance to state teams throughout the entire project lifecycle to ensure successful migration and deployment.
Post-Migration Support:
- Offer ongoing technical support and continue tasks such as performance monitoring and issue resolution to ensure a smooth transition to the MNIT support team.

Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years of hands-on experience migrating PeopleSoft ERP systems to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
2+ years of experience working with PeopleSoft Cloud Manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experience migrating various PeopleSoft ERP systems (HCM, FMS, ELM, Integration Hub) and supporting tools (Broadcom AppWorx, IBM DataStage, OBIEE Reporting).
In-depth understanding of PeopleSoft architecture, including PeopleTools, Application Designer, PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA), and PeopleCode.
Experience with Oracle Database management, including performance tuning, backup/recovery strategies, and database containerization.
Expertise in cloud networking, security, and PeopleSoft integration in cloud environments.
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL), Private Cloud Appliance (PCA), Exalogic, and Exadata architectures.
