The E-commerce SEO Manager will drive the organic search strategy and coordinate our search engine optimization (SEO) on-site and off-site efforts across all Crecera brand companies (sportsmansguide.com, tgw.com, baseballsavings.com). They will oversee SEO content creation specific to each brand and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for technical SEO changes, content direction, and other tactics to maximize visibility on Google and other search engines. To be successful, the candidate should have a deep understanding of SEO best practices and techniques and a desire to keep up with the latest digital trends. The SEO manager must also bring an analytical approach through data analysis and make necessary adjustments.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, prioritize, and implement SEO strategies for technical, on-site, and off-site pages through SEO roadmap creation.
- Define and ideate content needs for SEO program-specific strategies through keyword research.
- Manage the production of blog content across Crecera brands and collaborate with channel leads for distribution of content through appropriate channels.
- Drive results that meet or exceed annual traffic, demand, and conversion in-support of customer acquisition and retention goals.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Merchandising, IT, Analytics, Content, and our external partners to identify areas of improvement and implement change.
- Perform day-to-day SEO operations including on-site updates, page creation, keyword research, meta tags, competitive market analysis, strategic link acquisition, routine audits, backlink analysis, opportunity identification, solicitation, and optimization. Synthesize data, analyze results, identify and forecast trends, and execute on key findings to achieve marketing objectives.
- Report out to broader organization on all aspects of SEO-traffic, demand, conversion, rankings, and any other aspects of SEO.
- Work with social media, PPC, and site planning teams to optimize campaigns, landing pages, website content/templates, copy, etc.
- Manage an SEO team and 3 party agency resources
- Remain current on SEO trends/tactics, integrated marketing trends, and algorithm changes.
- File tickets with technical teams to address site functionality issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 4+ years of SEO experience at an agency or similar in-house SEO manager role
- Experience with SEO and other relevant tools (Botify, SEMRush, WebMaster), analytics tools (Adobe, Google Analytics), and e-commerce platforms (WebSphere Commerce).
- Excellent understanding of SEO and Content Marketing strategy as it relates to eCommerce strategy and experience running SEO programs.
- Solid technical acumen, displaying familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Ability to define structured plans, clear communication, and foster collaboration to ensure timely delivery of work within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to define processes and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Data analysis skills with the ability to interpret trends and provide insights and recommendations to business partners.
- Direct to consumer ecommerce retail experience in a remote work setting preferred.
- While not mandatory a passion for an outdoors lifestyle is a nice to have
