We are looking for a contracting employee with a full time job at our client site with a minimum of 5 years experience in this role.
The Health and Human Services system has undertaken a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) project with the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of Civil Rights (OCR). The scope of this program / project includes all activities necessary to support the successful completion of all deliverables required within CAP. The CAP requires HHSC to take certain actions to improve its information security program. These actions include conducting a comprehensive security risk assessment and analysis of all legacy Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) functions that were in existence on April 21,2015 and transferred to HHSC. This includes all Information Systems (Applications), Facilities, Equipment, Business Agreements, Policies and Procedures, and Training.

- Experience in Information Security
- Skilled information technology professional with advanced experience developing and implementing IT policy, standards and procedures. Responsible for creating, testing and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Performing risk assessments utilizing the NIST Risk Management Framework and the NIST 800-53 catalog of security controls
- Recommending security enhancements and purchases
- Training staff on network and information security procedures. Develop reports about the efficiency of security policies and recommend any changes
- Organize and conduct training for all employees regarding company security and information safeguarding.
