We are seeking a QA Engineer professional to develop and maintain test scripts for both manual and automated testing. Responsibilities include preparing UAT test cases aligned with business requirements, conducting stakeholder walkthroughs, tracking test execution, logging defects in Jira, and maintaining traceability matrices. Experience in Agile environments and supporting dev, test, and UAT phases is essential.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in writing and executing test cases, creating test plans, and performing unit, integration, regression, and other testing types.
- Proficiency in tools like Jira, SharePoint, Xray, and scripting with UFT or Selenium. API testing experience using Postman or similar tools.
- Strong SQL query skills for CRUD operations and familiarity with Agile environments, delivering sprints for HHSC.
- Ability to track defects, maintain traceability, and ensure quality using industry-standard tools.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and organization skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Preferred knowledge of object-oriented programming and experience with Texas HHS agency systems.
Required Skills:
- Experience in writing and executing test cases, as well as creating test plans.
- Knowledge of software usability concepts and requirements traceability, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process
- Knowledge of Xray Test Case management tool and Jira Project management tool
- Strong SQL query knowledge: Create, Read, Update, Delete
- Experience in writing and executing tests automation using UFT
- Experience in conducting API Testing and automation using Postman, SOAPUI, JMETER or similar
