The QA Automation Analyst will develop and maintain test scripts for manual and automated testing, prepare UAT test cases aligned with business requirements, and conduct stakeholder walkthroughs. Responsibilities include tracking test execution, reporting, logging defects in Jira, and maintaining traceability matrices. Experience in Agile environments is essential. The role also involves supporting development teams in dev, test, and UAT environments and troubleshooting defects.
Job Requirements:
- Expertise in writing/executing test cases, creating test plans, and conducting various testing types (unit, integration, regression, smoke, UAT, stress, and performance).
- Proficient with Jira, SharePoint, Xray Test Management, SQL (CRUD operations), Postman (API testing), and automation using UFT or Selenium.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, requirements traceability, usability concepts, and agile methodologies for delivering high-quality sprints on time.
- Skilled in logging, categorizing, and prioritizing defects using industry tools like Jira.
- Develop and execute automated tests for authentication, permissions, and data security.
- Knowledgeable in code coverage tools, process/system analysis, and Object-Oriented Programming (preferred).
- Effective communicator with the ability to present technical details and collaborate across all organizational levels.
- Adept at handling inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with Texas HHS systems and operations (preferred).
Required Skills:
- Experience in writing and executing test cases, as well as creating test plans.
- Knowledge of software usability concepts and requirements traceability, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process
- Knowledge of Xray Test Case management tool and Jira Project management tool
- Strong SQL query knowledge – Create, Read, Update, Delete
- Experience in writing and executing tests automation using UFT
- Experience in conducting API Testing and automation using Postman, SOAPUI, JMETER or similar
