We are seeking a Full-time contractor or employee for a Technical Writer position.
Job Description:
- Collaborate with TCEQ staff to create technical documentation for end-users of the Texas Air Emissions Repository (TexAER) database.
- Develop, structure, format, and produce comprehensive program and end-user documentation, including tutorials, user guides, troubleshooting, and reference manuals, with appropriate visual elements.
- Collect feedback from staff on draft documentation and incorporate requested changes as directed by the supervisor.
- Create video tutorials upon request, ensuring compliance with TCEQ, DIR, and World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards.
- Work in a team environment, communicating effectively with individuals at all technical levels, and provide technical support and testing.
Required Skills:
- Experience in web page user interface design and creating end-user documentation for complex relational database applications, with strong written and verbal communication skills across all technical levels.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of system limitations, integration with business processes, expertise in preparing technical documentation for diverse audiences, and strong data analysis skills.
